Toolangi Discovery Centre The Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre is an uniquely crafted building located 80km north east of Melbourne in the picturesque Central Highlands . Whilst visiting the centre, you can view a marvellous exhibition of photographs, 'Life in the Tall Eucalypt Forests', by photographer Esther Beaton. Take a stroll through the Messmate forest on the bush tracks surrounding the centre or join us in our lecture theatre for a showing of the historical 'Forests of Ash' film.
The Discovery Centre is home to the Department of Sustainability and Environments forest education service, which provides a unique opportunity for students, teachers and the wider community to experience the intrinsic natural beauty of the forest while learning about their importance, forest ecology, the complex nature of their uses and their sustainable management.
